Forest Life Old and New
This picture was taken at Dead Mans Pass on the Oregon Trail east of Pendleton in late April 2003. Shown pushing snow aside are Avalanche Lillies growing with the protection of a Ponderosa pine stump. This shows the end of one life cycle and the beginning of another.

Storm Clouds Over the Blues
A storm rolls up against the foothills of the Blue Mountains just east of Weston,Oregon. The approaching storm clouds fill the air with mountain magic. This picture was taken in October 2003.

Fawn Looking for Mom
At the top of Cabbage Hill in a field of wild flowers life begins anew. It is a new born fawn complete with spots, Its twin still in hiding nearby. A mule deere doe looks on with all her protective instincts in tact as this shot was taken. It was early June 2003.
