Bill Peal was born and raised in Oregon. His early years were spent in Joseph, Oregon, where his family ranched on the East Moraine of Wallowa Lake. His love for nature was born with his early encounters with the forest and range land of the Wallowa Mountains. Upon graduation from Oregon State University, he started a career as an educator. He taught agriscience in Madras, Oregon, and then in Pendleton, Oregon. Aftter thirty years of teaching, he retired and turned his energies toward his love of photography. Bill says, "I love to connect with nature and allow the spirit of Mother Earth to direct the composition of my pictures" Every picture contains a story, a story of the power of nature to heal, renew, and transform the elements of a dynamic living system that works its magic in the changing of the seasons. |
